Association of Journalists of Macedonia

The Human and Institutional Development Program (HIDP)- USAID funded program, implemented by World Learning that supports institutions key to the future of Macedonia and to the legacy of the USAID Mission in Macedonia, has been working with the Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM) since the beginning of 2009.

In July 2009 as part of its activities, HIDP hired Innovation’s consultants to conduct assessment of the AJM IT infrastructure. The assessment was conducted using interviews and onsite scanning of the available equipment and its configuration. The scope of assessment was the complete IT infrastructure, which included the network configuration, network hardware, computer hardware and software applications used by the employees.

Focusing on the improvement of the IT infrastructure of the Association, experts used systematic approach to identify IT infrastructure gaps (i.e., the problems), and a mix of recommendations on specific solutions - both hardware and software - to close those gaps.

The cooperation between Innovation and AJM Executive Office continued with the development of Membership Management Software with modules that helped the Association employees to make everyday activities more efficient in the area of membership renewal and information extraction.
